What is Regenera Activa?
Regenera Activa, is a hair loss treatment method that uses autologous hair micrografts.The procedure is relatively simple: our doctor harvests a few hair grafts from the back of the scalp, where healthy hairs are abundant and plentiful. This is done under a light local anaesthetic. There is minimal discomfort. The harvested hairs are then processed in a solution before they are carefully injected into the balding areas of the scalp, usually the crown, the mid scalp or the hairline. You can think of it as a simple procedure to strengthen the scalp either as a standalone treatment or prior to a hair transplant.
What conditions does Regenera Activa treat?
Not all types of hair loss are suitable for Regenera Activa. Conditions such as male and female pattern hair loss and hair thinning are suitable for Regenera Activa

Who is Regenera Activa for?

It is not suitable in patients with advanced hair loss or if the onset of hair loss is very aggressive and rapid. Patients who have ongoing inflammatory conditions like scarring alopecias may not respond to Regenera Activa.

What to expect?
Your scalp will be cleansed properly and some samples will be taken from the back of your scalp under local anesthesia.

It depends on each case: age, genetic and lifestyle factors all play a role. Microscopically, there is a significant reduction in the number of miniaturized hair within one month, and towards the fourth month, changes in quality and number of hairs result in a higher hair density.
Most patient will report visible change such as fuller, thicker growth of the thinning areas in about two to four months. Individual variation can occur.
Results last between 1 to 2 years, depending on individual response and variation. However, every patient is unique and it is important to review your progress every 6 to 12 monthly with our doctor.
Once a year

Avoid strenuous activity, direct heat and sunlight for 2-3 days. Avoid swimming for a week.
The only medical contraindication is an active infectious process in the scalp.
