What is Sculptra Filler and how does it work?
The main ingredient in Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid, a product of plant sugar. Treatment duration, pain and downtime
Treatment lasts about 30-45 minutes.
With numbing creams and adequate distraction, Sculptra is injected and spread underneath the surface of the skin using a tiny tube/cannula, and most patients report minimal pain and is very tolerable.
Most side effects are mild, and there may be some bruising, swelling and tenderness after the procedure, but these usually self-resolve in a few days.

Other injectables like botulinum toxin and skinboosters or other energy based devices are safe to do with Sculptra. They may be spread apart or done in the same sitting. Your doctor will advise as appropriate.
It is very important to massage your face after the procedure. This ensures that the product is even spread over the treatment area, and reduces the risk of lumps forming. We recommend massaging the areas 5 mins each time, 5 times a day for 5 days. This is unlike other fillers where touching the face after procedure is discouraged.
If there is any swelling or redness, cool packs may be applied.
Avoid alcohol and the sun until any swelling or redness subsides.

Risks
Soreness, swelling and redness may occur. Rarely, lumps or nodules may form after the injection. Just with any filler or biostimulator, there is a very small risk of vascular occlusion if the filler is accidentally injected into a blood vessel.
