The Fotona StarWalker MaQX Laser is in a class of its own - it combines both nanosecond and picosecond laser technologies for the best of both worlds in treating pigmentation, pores and scars in the skin. StarWalker’s technology combines the high energy capabilities of nanosecond lasers with the ultrashort pulse peak powers of traditional picosecond lasers. FRACREVIVE™
FracRevive™ is an efficient two-step skin rejuvenation treatment using the Fotona StarWalker with minimal downtime, performed with both full-beam and fractional Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. The treatment improves the patient’s skin tone and texture as well as reduces pore size, pigmentation, and static wrinkles.
How Does it Work?
Step 1: In the first step, three to four passes of full-beam MaQX-1 Nd:YAG are applied utilizing a quick brushing method to cover the entire face.
Step 2: Minimally ablative FracTAT® technology is used in step 2. Two passes are performed to cover the entire face, with an additional two passes applied on areas with more pronounced problems such as large pores, pigmentation, and uneven skin tone. The treatment can be repeated after four to six weeks.
FRACTAT®

The Fotona StarWalker's innovative FracTAT® technology, based on high-energy pulses of fractional Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, enables extremely high peak powers to be concentrated in a matrix of tiny spots to induce fractional photoacoustic shockwaves. When the FracTAT® procedure is performed in non-ablative mode, fractional microscopic lesions are formed in the epidermis and dermis due to plasma micro-explosions, leading to cavitation, while the tissue surface remains intact.
The FracTAT® mode is ideal for applications such as rejuvenation, texture improvement and acne scar revision, particularly in darker skin types for which other ablative procedures are often avoided.
The Fotona StarWalker Laser can be used as part of a comprehensive scar management programme. It can be combined with other devices such as Radiofrequency (RF) machines and skin injectables for best results.
