Ellanse

Fast-Onset,
Long-Lasting,
Natural Looking.

From the age of 25, the face loses around 1% of its volume per year. This is because the collagen in the skin breaks down, making the skin thinner and drier and causing wrinkles. Lines and wrinkles are part of life, but that doesn't mean you have to live with them. Discover how ELLANSE has advanced the beauty goals of men and women.

What is Ellanse?

Ellanse (shao nu zhen) is a unique filler that is loved by many. Lines, folds and areas of volume deficiency appear on the face as a result of the aging process. Like traditional fillers, Ellanse fills up these areas on our faces immediately. However, it does more than that. Ellanse is a dual-action filler that works to treat the underlying cause of aging - loss of our body’s natural collagen.

How does Ellanse work?

Ellanse contains polycaprolactone (PCL), a bioresorbable medical polymer that stimulates collagen production by the body over the next 3-6 months. This means Ellanse will steadily rebuild and reshape the facial contours to restore the youthful infrastructure of the skin over time. This is unlike traditional hyaluronic acid (HA) based fillers which simply degrade over time after injection.

Ellanse is available in 2 options: S and M, with results lasting for 18 months and 2 years respectively. This is typically longer than the longevity of most HA-based fillers, which last around 12 months on average.

Where Can Ellanse Fillers Be Used?

Ellanse is a versatile collagen-stimulating filler that can be injected in many areas of the face, depending on each individual’s concerns and needs after an assessment with our doctor. Some of the common areas where Ellanse are injected include:

Dr. Toby Hui

Ellanse is used to improve features of the face that have lost shape, contour or volume due to aging.

Downtime is limited to injection marks which go away in a couple of days. There may on occasion, be slight swelling and bruising for some patients; these are temporary as well.

Typical results last 18 months to 2 years after a single treatment of Ellanse fillers.

Ellanse fillers are performed in our clinic usually takes 30 minutes.

Are there any shortcomings of Ellanse?

Ellanse lasts longer than traditional fillers and has the added benefit of boosting skin collagen levels. However, there is generally no one “best” filler. Each product normally has its own pros and cons. Unlike traditional fillers which can be dissolved as required,

Ellanse cannot be dissolved. Ellanse cannot be used in areas which require “softer fillers” such as the lips and areas immediately around the mouth or eyes. Certain medical conditions, medications you may be taking, or if you have a history of keloid scarring may mean Ellanse fillers are not suitable for you.

In conclusion, a decision to use Ellanse should be made only after consultation with a doctor well-versed in fillers, including Ellanse, and who is able to address your aesthetic concerns and needs.

FAQ

How long does a treatment take?
A treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, depending on the areas treated.

When will I see the effects of the treatment?
Volumising effects and a reduction in wrinkles and folds can be seen immediately after treatment. ELLANSÉ will then gradually stimulate the production of your body’s own collagen to treat the underlying causes of facial ageing for long- lasting and natural-looking results.

How long will the results last?
Natural-looking and immediate results will last from 18 months up to 3 years*, depending on the ELLANSÉ option recommended for you. The results are maintained for the expected duration of effect according to the Ellansé option chosen, enabling you to avoid multiple sessions.
*Expected longevity in-vivo based on extrapolation of clinical data from Ellansé-S, Ellansé-M and accepted PCL degradation behaviour.

Is the procedure painful?
Tiny amounts of ELLANSÉ are injected into the skin using an ultrafine needle, so any discomfort is minimal. It’s quick, simple, virtually painless, and gives instant results.

What is ELLANSÉ made up of?
ELLANSÉ is composed of unique Polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres and Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) carrier gel, all naturally broken down by the body into carbon dioxide and water and then eliminated without leaving any traces in your body.

How many sessions are generally needed?
With ELLANSÉ, only one session is needed for immediate results and long-lasting correction, making ELLANSÉ a cost-effective treatment that gives excellent value for money.
