Treatment duration, pain and downtimes
It takes about 15-60 minutes depending on the areas to be treated. It is virtually painless. There is no downtime after the procedure. A cooling gel is applied to the skin and the areas to be treated are targeted

Individual results vary according to one’s skin type and hair but you will find that typically, hair starts to get weaker and drop off from 7 days after the first session.
At least 6 to 8 sessions are recommended, on a monthly basis with 90-95% of hairs removed at the end of that course.

Absolutely – our treatment is effective regardless of whether you have light, dark or tanned skin, course or fine hair. SHR can be used for all skin types and in particular are very well tolerated by customers with dark skin types as it substantially reduces pain or discomfort as compared to IPL systems.
The constant cooling technology ensures little to no prolonged epidermal effects such as redness or inflammation and no downtime before (no gels, creams or topical anaesthesia) or after each session.
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments use high energy levels that may cause discomfort and pain. SHR treatments are uses lower energies with higher repetition which makes it more comfortable and safer.
Laser hair removal systems are more costly and usually more time consuming, but may be more suitable for darker skin types.
